Congratulations to the Whitesboro Volunteer Fire Department, Whitesboro, TX, our 5/30/21 Biannual Headset System Giveaway winner. The winning entry was sent by Chief Steve W. Pinkston.

“The Whitesboro Fire Department is very excited to hear about being chosen to receive the David Clark System Giveaway. Lack of communication in the fire service has always been a safety hazard to firefighters, especially in the wildland setting of fire operations. Our B234 is lacking in this communications area. The loud diesel engine would not let us communicate inside the cab with the driver operator and other firefighters on the apparatus. The system you have provided to be installed in this apparatus will bring that safety to all firefighters who work on this piece of apparatus. Thank you again and we look forward to having this system installed on our brush truck.”

The Headset Communication System will be designed and configured for the apparatus by David Clark Company. System installation will be provided at no charge to the department, courtesy of Self Radio Inc., Montague, TX.
